City Fitness Advertisment

Today for reading our task is to make an advertisement for local Gyms. At first we read a story about Gym, the story goes like this Josh don't like playing sport of working out he say that is a waste of time but his brother Tim like playing sport and working out. One day Tim saw Josh at a Gym, but there something interesting happen Josh workout because he want to Impress a girl. I work hard to make this advertisement I also use my smart searching skill to find out some information about City Fitness.

Careers

Today we are learning about jobs and careers. First we answer a Career quest to find out what job we can do in the future. For me I get lots of different kind of Engineering jobs like Electronics, Marine, Chemical and many more. The first one that I get is Aeronautical Engineer, it is for planes. But my highest paid recommended job is Mining Engineer the salary of it is $210,000.00 per year. 

Kiwi Can Refecltion

Today for kiwi can we have a new topic for this term and it is Resilience. For this week we are learning about setting up Goals.  For energiser we play a game called horse and donkey it is so fun and for our activities we set up a goal point and try o reach it. The first cone is worth 50 points the second one worth 100 and the last one is 150 and it is a bonus cone. My team won because we are half on our goal, our goal is 500 points and we get 250 points.

Facts About Vikings

Today for reading we learned about Vikings, Vikings is from Denmark, Norway and Sweden. I learned lots of things about Viking like, Viking's boat is made out of wood and there is  Figurehead in the front of the wood. They row hard so they can Attack quickly, They also wear a helmet made of leather.

The Lighthouse Keeper

Our homework is to make a DLO about the light house keeper that get stranded at a lighthouse because of storm. John and I work hard to get some information from the article. 

Chicago Sports Team

Today our task is to find out Famous sports team in Chicago. Thank you to Ms. Anderson for teaching us and telling us some famous places on Chicago. My favourite sports team is Chicago bulls, because I like playing basketball. 

Pro's and Con's of living in a Lighthouse

Today for Inquiry we wrote some Pro's and Con's about living in a Lighthouse. We made a DLO about what is Pro's and Con's living in a Lighthouse. There are so many Con's than Pro's because living in a lighthouse is hard and You are lonely if your not with your family. It is hard because there's no school, only home studies. The Fresh water is limited, because there is no source of fresh water. The pro's is also good, you can go fishing anytime you want and it is peace and quiet.  

Lighthouse For Sale

Today we make a poster about a Lighthouse for sale. You can find this Lighthouse in Green bay, Lake Michigan. It was only used about 50 years. It has 2 bedroom 1 bathroom, for only $22,141.20 New Zealand dollar.

ASB Get WIse

Today Jayden from ASB came to teach us how to save our money. Earn - Spend= Save, It means that Spend less to Save more. Spending money is hard for us but we learn now how to save our money. We play a game its called Trip to Fiji, we have a budget of $1,800 to have fun on Fiji. Our group won for earning 35 EP (Earn Points). In our group we learn how to budget our money and how to use it properly.

Matariki Celebration

Today was the Matariki day, people in our school watched other groups performing pacifica, druming, Kapa haka, and Ukulele. After watching all the performances we had free sausages for all the people in our school .The performances was really good to watch because they were confident and not shy to perform. Thank you Ms Whea Odie for giving us the free sausages and I enjoyed the performances too. 

Matariki

This week is  Matariki Celebration, We collaborate with Ls1. It is fun working with them, we watch a video about Matariki and the seven star. Then we make a poster about what we learn about Matariki. We work really hard to make a poster and combine all of the things we learn about Matariki. I work with Josh, Xavier and Viliami.

M&M's

This week for maths with Mr Johnston, we made a google presentation about M&M's. We first predict how many m&m's colours are in a small packet. For this week our challenge for maths was about m&ms with Mr Johnston.  Each group has a packet of m&ms. We tried to predict on how many colours are in that packet, our group had more yellow. It was fun because we got to eat the m&m's.
