Kiwi Capers Orchestra Trip

Today went to the Kiwi Capers Orchestra, we watch a performance by Auckland Philharmonia. We listen to 3 pieces of music and one of them was from Romeo and Juliet. We also watched a dance performance from St Kentigern and Ngatapuwae. It was fun watching the Auckland Philmornia play their instruments like: Violin, Trumpet, Trombone, Cello, Triangles and many more. There are different section of intruments, Brass has the Trumpets and Tuba, Woodwind has the Flutes and Clarinet, String has the Violing and the Harp and last one is the Percusion, It has the drums, triangles and Cymbals.

This week is Tongan Language Week, we are learning how to pronounce the greeting in Tongan and some phrases. Ofa, Affonso, Jeremiah and I work together to make a great DLO about Tongan Phrases and pronouncing them right. It is fun working with  them because we have teamwork and we work together as a team. I learn that Hello in Tonga is Malo e lelei.

VR Research

Today is a really fun day, because we are learning using VR and Magic Window. There are some people doing VR and some people doing Magic Window. Me, I use VR to learn about bridges and how they construct them. Thank you Yvonne and her research team for making this possible, it is a very great idea to use VR to learn about bridges. I learn and see lots of things like: how they use punt to cross the river and how Panmure Bridge has made. Yvonne and her research team is from Augmented (AR- Augmented Reality) Human Lab at Auckland University, they work hard so they can give us an experience of Virtual Reality. We also do some test like eye test, 3D shape test and we also have a test that we need to walk in straight line so we can see if we are balance walking in a straight line. 

Fraction Problem

Today for maths we've been learning how to solve a mixed number fraction and improper fraction. This was not new to me because I've learn this before bu some of it is tricky. At first we solve some mixed numerals and turn it into a improper fraction. I work with Miki, we use teamwork to answer all of the question and to make a DLO about it, it is so fun working with him, he is so fast at solving problems.

Today for writing we are learning about colons and how to use them in a sentences. Our task is to put the colons to a sentences to, it is easy you just need to put the colons in the right places. It is easy for me because you just need to put colons next to the list of something. We also choose what sentence we want and try to illustrate the sentence that we choose, it is so hard to illustrate in my computer.

What Are Senses Verbs?

Today for writing we are learning how to use senses into our sentences. Firstly we read some example of how to use sense's in a sentence, then we answer some question about it and we also use them to make a sentence.

New York City

For reading we are learning about the New York City and the Empire State Building. There are lots of places that I want to go in New York City, like Statue Of Liberty and the Central Park. Empire state building is so tall it stands 443 m high. The blue circle represent the places I want to go and the Red circle is the Empire State Building.
