Today The Next Foundation came to our school. They came when we had our school assembly. They were here to launch the Summer Learning Journey for 2017/2018. The Summer Learning Journey is hosted by Rachael Williams, the program consists of many different entertaining and educational activities. The Next Foundation have made a mini movie with our school. The main character was Daniel (a student in Panmure Bridge School). There were also other students featured in the movie

Christmas in the Philippines

The Collaborative challenge was fun. In my group was Javeylor, Fatongia and Carl. Our first activity was to pick a country to make a DLO about how they celebrate Christmas. We chose the Philippines because Carl was also Philippine and we didn't really know about how the Filipinos celebrate Christmas. Then we made a screencastify to tell whats happening and to show and tell our thinking. After making this presentation we learnt a lot. Our next task was to create a Kahoot about different country's. We used our smart searching skills to get this task done and we also worked as a team well. This made it easier to finish off our task. This was for Inquiry beacuse we were also learning about Christmas

Google logo-Scratch

Today I have played this coding game from the google page and it is made out of scratch. It's about you controlling a rabbit by dragging the arrow to the rabbit and the rabbit will move by it self. There are a lot of levels to complete finish.

Math Drawing

Today we did  a cool graph, it is hard but we handle it. We use coordinates to draw a dog picture. We used the ladder rule, the ladder rule is easy, first you always walk across and then climb up the ladder.

Last week was the last week for are tech this year. I've been in the different groups.

Digital tech
We make game using scratch it is fun to be in digital tech. We learn  a lot on technology. Now i can make a simple game.

Food tech
Food tech is the best group I go it is so fun be with Ms. Heka . She is so kind to us and she help us about making food. In the last week of our tech we make a chocolate log cake, it is so delicious. A big thank to Ms. Heka for helping us to made a lot of different foods.  

Summer Learning Journey-Hazel visits

Today Hazel visits us to introduce Summer Learning Journey (SLJ). She explain us that SlJ will help us to improve our skills.Hazel also talk about the benefits and the good thing about SlJ.

Tamaki Collage-Social Science

On Friday went to Tamaki Collage for Social science. It is so fun be there. We play Persude game, it is the game that you need find what city is in the photo. We use google earth to fin a vacation for Ms. Anderson. We find out about Siargoa island and Boracay. It is a good for vacation.

Windsor Family Tree

Today we learn about the royal family, because Prince Harry has been engage. We learn about the Winsdor family tree. We put a lot of hard work to made the dlo, we also help each other. We use are researching skills.

Athletics Day

Today is Athletics day in our school. It's so fun to do Athletics. There is a lot of events that you can join like sprints. There was music playing while we were doing the activities. My team is blue, we showed teamwork every event that we went to, we also have fighting spirits that really help us to win the challenges. Tamaki Collage helped us to organise this day. It is a big thanks to them coming to help us out. My favourite event is the basketball we shot hoops, but unfortunately we lost 5 points, but it's ok we have fun on the Athletics day. Thanks to Mr Ogilvie for planning out this day.  

Fire Station Trip

Today we go to Fire station. We learn a lot of new thing about fire. They also teach us that don't play with fires. They show us how they rescue the trap people in car. They also said that smoke alarm is so important because if you sleeping on night you can't smell a smoke. 

Fire station- Summary

Today we made a summary about the Fire station. There is a lot of words that describe Fire station. We learn a lot on the fire station, we also learn about fire safety. It is important that you have smoke alarm, it is very helpful when there is  a fire.

Year 7 Leadership and Motivation

This week we have been focusing on leadership. Leadership is not about being a boss, leadership is about motivating the other students and helping them. We did a role play to show motivation. We are learning how to be good leaders. It was fun showing motivation how we could motivate other students using role play. 

Police Visit

Today Police came to our school to show us, how can they help on our community. They also show us a helicopter it is very cool, I really like it. The helicopter landed on our school ground. They also teach us some parts of the helicopter. The K9 units also came to show us some tricks. The dog name is Kahu and he is so fast and so strong . He is the best of smelling and tracking peoples. The dog breed is a German Shepherd.  The fun part is when the helicopter take off and some of are hats got blow away. 

Kiwi Sport-Badminton

Today we did kiwi sport. We learn forehand and backhand rally, it is little bit hard on the start but we manage it. It so fun to play badminton and we learn a new thing every day and practice it.

Personal Passion

My personal passion, I really like playing sport this is my hobbies everyday. I also like singing and playing instruments

Kiwi sport-Badminton

Today we did a kiwi sport,we do badminton it was so fun. Kevin from Badminton Auckland  teach us some technique to be better on the badminton. We also learn some trick shot. I have a partner and we do forehand grip and backhand grip. We also learn about keep eye on the shuttle.

Screencastify-Finding Fraction

Today we use screencastify, We also did math strategies it's so fun to use the screencastify because of that we can record our learning today. I make a screencastify I do math strategies,I make a 2 fraction problem it is simple problem and very helpful. It is easy to use and very simple.
