Facts About Geese

This week for reading I have made a DLO about geese. I used my smart searching skills to find 5 facts about geese and a labelled Diagram. I have learnt a lot from doing this. I learnt that Geese can live almost everywhere. They like parks, fields, and grassy areas near Waters.

How Much Money

Today for maths we were solving questions about how much money each person received. From this activity I learned how to solve a fraction problem. The most hardest part is understanding the question and thinking how to solve it. For this learning I worked with my friend Miki.

How Wifi Works?

How WiFi Works?

“Hey, Lesley Do you know how WiFi works?”
“I don’t know, Angela let’s ask Profesor K.”
Hello my name is Professor K. Do you know that WiFi is also a
light? WiFi is electromagnetic radiation,  electromagnetic radiation
is a visible light, radio waves and gamma rays.
The light that travel from the Modem and our devices is invisible,
its is fast it travels 3.0 meter per second and it called the speed of
light.

The speed of light travel 1.079e+9 km/h, it is really fast.
Speed of light is impossible to see.  Radio waves or
Electromagnetic radiation travel upto 300,000 km per second.
The energy waves or pulse is a vibration of air  particle,
also known as sound travel.

Internet - Modem - Router - Device. This is a sequence traveling
of the waves. Sending a picture take a long way but it is fast.
First you send a picture and the computer will change it to a
package and send it to the modem, the modem will send it to the
internet and the internet will send it to someones modem.
The modem will send the package to the device and will unpacked
it and show the picture. The package is called the Binary code.

What is Binary code? Binary code is the fastest way to send a
picture or a mail. Binary code contain - on/ off - 1/O. Binary code
has  lot of 1/O. The Binary code travel from the modem to your
devices. It is fast like a speed of light that can go upto 300,000 km
per second. 1/O represent a letter, digit or special character.

Electromagnetic radiation is a visible light, radio waves and
gamma rays.  The light that travel from the Modem and our devices
is invisible. There are lot of waves like radio waves, sound waves,
energy waves. Radio waves has a low frequency and the Nuclear
explosion has a High frequency.

Maths - Amount of Children

Today for maths our task is to solve a fraction problem. It is hard to solve it because I forgot how to solve a fraction problem, but we manage to solve it. Jericho and I work really hard to get the right answer, at first we don't get the right answer.

Kiwi Sport - Rippa Rugby

Today for kiwi sport we've been learning Rippa Rugby. We learn how to do sidestep. We also play a game of Rippa Rugby it is fun we win because we use teamwork. Student Led Conferences

Today we have Student Led Conferences, It was successful. My parents see what I've been learning for this term. They are happy seeing my work for this term, they said that I improve a lot. My English is getting better now, thank you to Ms. Kirkpatrick and Ms. Anderson for helping me to fix my grammars.

Tech Reflection

Today for tech we've been learning how to cut our design using a saw blade. First we make sure that our design is possible to make. Secondly we trace our design to a wood, then we cut it. Next week we will put the Pewter to our design, Pewter is a grey alloy of tin copper that is look like a Iron. Pewter is easy to use because you can melt it in just 240 degree, if you use iron it will take so long to melt it down you need up to 2,000 degree to melt it.

Will the Cinema Continue?

Breaking News

Do you know the younger you the more you go to the cinema?
Because if you are young you have time to go to cinema and
you have money. If you are 35 over you are the least one to
go to the cinema, maybe because you don't have time and you
just want to stay home. In 1999 15 - 24 years old go to the
cinema the most.

7 - 14  years old go to the cinema
more, than 25 - 34 years old. I think in 2002 - 2005
the attendance will go lower because of television.
Television will get famous because it's much cheaper
than going to the cinema and you can stay at home
watching television. In this generation only teenager love
to go to the cinema, older people just like to stay home and rest.

Today we been learning about the cinema attendance and
reading graphs. Our task is to make an argument that the
younger you are the more you go to the cinema. Making an
argument is easy me and Jericho work hard to make an
argument about the cinema.

Human Body - Quiz

Today for Inquiry we have a quiz for human body.  I work hard to answer all of the question. I learn that Muscles connect to the bone using Tendons. I get 9 out of 10 in 50 seconds, it is a good start on learning about human body.  I found this activity very easy because this term for inquiry we have been learning about body systems and at school we went to the life education caravan and we learnt about the body systems, like Muscular Nervous and Skeletal.

Ls2 Lung Capacity

To compare the lung capacity of students in LS2, we used one breath to blow up a balloon. Then we measured the circumference if the balloon in cm. After we could graph the results to compare them. Did you know that four people had the lung capacity of 50 cm? You can also see that Julian has the biggest and Avalon and the smallest lung capacity.

Tech Reflection

Today for tech we have a rotation today. Some of our people go to cooking, some of us go in Pewter Casting. I Learned a lot about Pewter casting. First we are making our own workbook, workbook is a planning book.
